API and lines terms

Effective October 13, 2026 · MEISIM USA LLC, a Wyoming company managed from Los Angeles

These terms apply to every account that buys phone lines, numbers or eSIMs from MeiSIM USA over the API, the dealer dashboard, the reseller portal or an MCP connection ("the account"). They add to the general Terms of Service; where the two differ for an account, these terms apply.

1. What a line is

A line is a real mobile number on a US carrier network, rented for the time paid: by the day or by the month. It is prepaid. A line runs for the days or months paid and then stops unless renewed; a stopped line is released. Lines are not returned, cancelled early or refunded, except where we failed to deliver what was paid for. Delivery times, allowances and caps shown in the dashboard or the API are the ones that apply to the account.

2. Permitted use

  • Conversational, one-to-one texting and calling by a person, or by a software agent acting for an identified person who asked for it.
  • Receiving texts and calls for the account's own users, agents or systems.
  • Voice over SIP for the account's own agents, assistants or staff, one call at a time per line.
  • Reselling lines to your own customers under a dealer or reseller agreement with us, on these same terms.

3. AI agents and companions

A line may be held by an AI agent, assistant or companion. The account operating it agrees that:

  • Each such line is bound to the person or people it serves, by setting the line's allowed contacts, and it does not text anyone else.
  • Those people opted in to receive texts and calls from the agent, inside the account's own product, and can stop it at any time. When they do, the account stops the line's sending at once.
  • Romantic or adult companions are offered only to adults, and the content exchanged is between adults. Nothing involving a minor, in any form, is ever sent or solicited on a line.
  • An agent does not impersonate a real, identifiable person without that person's consent, and does not threaten, harass, extort or deceive the person it talks to.
  • The account is responsible for what its model sends. We do not review conversations except on an abuse report, a legal requirement or at the account's request.
  • An agent or companion is never presented as a way to reach emergency help. See section 7.

4. Prohibited use

  • Bulk, marketing, notification or alert traffic of any kind. These are consumer lines for conversation, not an application-to-person channel.
  • Registering for, verifying or operating accounts on another company's service in breach of that service's terms, and any resale of verification codes or of access to them.
  • Robocalling, auto-dialling, caller-ID spoofing, and any call or text that US law requires consent for without that consent.
  • Spam, scams, fraud, phishing, harassment, threats, and any unlawful content.
  • Anything that causes a carrier to flag, suspend or disconnect a number, whether or not it is listed here.
  • Sharing an API key, or letting a third party operate the account without our agreement.

5. Caps, monitoring and suspension

Each line carries a monthly sending allowance and each account a daily spending limit, both sized for conversation and raised per account by a person. We monitor traffic patterns, not content, for abuse. A line or account used in breach of these terms is suspended the moment it is seen, without notice and without refund, and may be closed for good. We may also suspend a line or account where a carrier, a regulator or the law requires it.

6. Who holds the account

We verify who operates every account before issuing an API key, and may ask for more at any time: identity, business registration, the product the lines serve, and the consent flow its users go through. A key is issued by a person, never automatically, and may be withheld or withdrawn without a reason being owed.

7. Emergency services

Text to 911 is not available on these lines; a text to 911 receives an automatic reply saying so, as the law requires. These lines are not a replacement for a phone for emergency calling, and the account must tell its users so wherever a line is offered to them. An agent, assistant or companion holding a line must never be presented as a way to reach emergency help.

8. Messages and data

Texts received on a line are stored so the account can read them over the API and are kept for as long as the account holds the line and for a period after, for support and abuse handling. Sends are logged with their destination and time to enforce allowances. We do not sell or share message content. Carrier records exist outside our systems and are governed by the carrier and by law.

9. Prices and payment

Lines are paid from the account's prepaid wallet at the prices shown on the account at the time of the order. A line whose renewal cannot be paid stops on its paid-through date. Promotional or volume prices apply only while the volume they were set for is kept.

10. Changes and contact

We may change these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date; material changes are announced to the account's email. Questions go to support@meisimusa.com.
