We use a small number of cookies to remember your language preference, keep your shopping cart, complete payments securely, and (if you consent) measure how many people visit. We do NOT sell your data, do NOT use cookies to advertise on third-party sites, and you can reject all non-essential cookies at any time via the cookie banner.
A cookie is a tiny text file your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site remember things between page loads or visits β like "this user prefers Korean," "this user has 2 items in cart," or "this session is logged in." Cookies don't run code, can't access other tabs, and can't read files on your computer.
Here's the full list. Anything we set falls into one of four categories: strictly necessary (the site doesn't work without these), functional (preferences and convenience), analytics (privacy-respecting visitor stats), and payment processor (set by Stripe / PayPal, not by us β but technically present when you check out).
| Cookie | Category | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
mm_consent |
Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie-banner choice so we don't ask again every page load. | 12 months |
mm_lang |
Functional | Saves your language preference (EN / δΈζ / ζ₯ζ¬θͺ / νκ΅μ΄ / EspaΓ±ol). | 12 months |
mm_cart |
Strictly necessary | Holds the plan you've selected before checkout. Cleared when you complete or abandon checkout. | Session |
mm_anon_id |
Analytics | Random ID (no personal info) used to count unique visitors and prevent double-counting in our analytics. Only set after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. | 30 days |
__stripe_* |
Payment processor | Set by Stripe when you reach a checkout page β they use it to prevent card fraud. Required to accept card payments at all. Stripe's cookie policy. | 30 days β 1 year |
cf_* |
Strictly necessary | Set by Cloudflare to defend against bots and DDoS. Required for the site to load. Cloudflare's cookie policy. | 30 days |
For transparency, here's what we deliberately do NOT do:
The cookie banner at the bottom of the screen on your first visit has a "Reject all non-essential" button. Click it and we'll only set mm_consent, mm_cart, and Stripe/Cloudflare's required cookies. You won't get the analytics cookie.
Clear your cookies for meisimusa.com in your browser. Next page load you'll see the banner again and can choose differently.
Note: if you block ALL cookies, the site mostly works but checkout will fail because Stripe needs its cookies to authorize the card transaction.
Reject the analytics cookie? Site works exactly the same β we just lose the ability to count you as a visitor in our internal dashboard. No features are blocked.
Block strictly-necessary cookies? Browsing works, but you won't be able to complete checkout (Stripe requires its cookies to process payments β that's a hard requirement of card networks, not us).
We respect the Do Not Track (DNT) HTTP header. If your browser sends DNT, we treat that as a rejection of the analytics cookie β even if you haven't clicked anything in the banner. (Most major browsers have removed the DNT setting from their UI, but the signal still works when present.)
MeiSIM USA isn't intended for users under 13 in the US, under 16 in the EU, or wherever local laws require parental consent. We don't knowingly set any cookies for known minor users.
If we add or remove cookies, we update the table above and the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes (e.g. adding a new analytics provider) trigger a fresh consent banner on your next visit so you can re-decide.
